Founder, Designer
Senior Graphic Designer
At Draught Associates, I worked on a wide range of disciplines including user interface design, web design, e-publishing, branding, wayfinding, book design and occasionally, illustration. Under creative direction I oversaw team work on projects such as "100 Lessons" e-books. Some other project titles include Titanic Belfast, "The Spa" book and Ancestral Footsteps website.
Graphic Designer
At v23, I worked alongside Vaughan Oliver on music packaging projects for bands such as This Mortal Coil, Cocteau Twins, Broken Records and Modern English. I was involved with projects from beginning to end; discussing possible design solutions, assisting Vaughan and sending finalized designs to the printer.
Art Director
I started Ultra as a part-time junior art director and was promoted to full-time art director position after my graduation. During my time there, I worked on advertising campaigns for Turkish brands like Ulker, Aksigorta, Turk Telekom and Dogadan (which was purchased by Coca-Cola later on). I also handled branding and packaging projects and did some POP design.
B!G Iletişim
Junior Art Director
In B!G, I worked on small scale branding and advertising projects for brands like Skoda, Tuborg, Turkish Airlines and Astra Zeneca. This was a part-time position which I had a chance to undertake during my studies.
Education
MA Communication Design
During my time at Kingston, I worked on music packaging, editorial design, moving image and illustration projects under the supervision of Vaughan Oliver and Dick Whitbread. The MA not only helped me understand the scope of graphic design better, it also allowed me to experience an international environment which contributed to me both at a professional and personal level.
BA (Hons) Graphic Design
During my BA, I studied all the fundamentals of graphic design; including typography, art history, media analysis, photography and illustration.
Dokuz Eylul University
BA Physics Teaching (Discontinued)
I love Physics but the “teaching” part was not suitable for me, so after a year I left the school to pursue a career in Graphic Design - which proved to be the best decision I ever made.
